OptiGlaze Systems supplies and installs replacement windows, doors, conservatories, garage doors, roofline and conservatory roof conversions for homes across West Lancashire.

What we collect, and when

We only collect personal information when you choose to give it to us. There is no tracking on this website.

When you send an enquiry through the form on our contact page, we collect:

• Your name
• Your email address
• Your telephone number, if you provide one
• Your postcode
• The service you are interested in
• Anything you tell us about the job

When you email us directly, we hold whatever you put in that email.

Server logs. Like almost all websites, our hosting keeps standard technical logs, which can include IP addresses. These are kept by our host for security and troubleshooting, and we do not use them to identify individuals.

Why we use it, and our lawful basis

We use enquiry details to reply to you, arrange a home visit, prepare a quotation and carry out work you ask us to do.

Where you have asked us for a quotation or a visit, our lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract. For general enquiries our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us about our services.

We do not use your details for marketing unless you ask us to, and we do not sell or rent your information to anyone.

Who else sees it

We keep the number of people involved as small as possible. Your details may be handled by:

• Our website host, which stores form submissions and website data
• Our email provider, which delivers enquiry notifications to us
• Our booking system, if you book a home visit through it
• Suppliers or fitters, but only the details needed to carry out your job

We may also share information where we are required to by law.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry details for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and for a reasonable period afterwards in case you come back to us. Where work is carried out, we keep records for as long as we need them for guarantees, aftercare and our legal and accounting obligations.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

• Ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you
• Ask us to correct anything that is wrong
• Ask us to delete information where there is no good reason for us to keep it
• Object to us using your information, or ask us to restrict how we use it
• Ask for your information in a portable format
